Common sense from a Rams fan

My Rams used to have one of the best owner in all of sports. Then he was found dead in his swimming pool and his ex-stripper wife took over the team. We are finally back in good hands, and you can say that Bradford was the only thing that saved us, but the Rams had several chances to draft franchise QBs in the years before, including Ryan and Sanchez. It takes the right people making the right calls. I believe the Panthers will be fine with Hurney making those calls with a new partner/coach at his side.

You can have the best owner in the world... But until you have a franchise QB you will not Consistently win in the NFL Today.... Just my opinion. I have not seen anything to prove this wrong.

I'm not as down on Hurney as many here, but what on earth has he EVER shown that would lead you to believe he can pick a QB?

I felt comfortable with the Luck pick because it was a no brainer. Having Hurney pick through a list of "potential" guys doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy.

Hurney has done very well in the draft, and they avoided QBs because Fox liked Delhomme. I believe that Hurney and the new coach will have a different philosophy and you guys will have your QB soon enough. It might even be Clausen.

Clausen is a poor man's Brodie Croyle.

Also, considering we don't have a 2nd (yay Hurney) and there isn't a QB worth sniffing at #1, we're trying to get our QB in the 3rd. Or later.

Sorry man, not feeling the optimism.

I know it's easy to dismiss this.. but this sport at the professional level is not just 22 guys on the field that have to work together, but you have a dozen coaches all working together and an entire FO trying to put a winning product on the field..

to think Hurney, or Fox, or JR, or Davidson each on their own would be the sole reason of a teams failure is completely inaccurate..

So to say Hurney isn't able to draft a QB.. well the Scouting department is a large part of that equation..

although Davidson is a baaaaad example.. ;)
