For those wishing for a Lockout

It doesnt mean we will have the #1 pick next year. The NFL will probably follow the NHL on what they did 5 years ago. They had a lockout and did a lottery to decide the draft order. They then did a serpentine draft. So forget about a lockout. If the Panthers want to try to get Luck next season what they need to do is trade the first round pick this year and move down. That way we have 2 shots at winning the #1 pick.

who would want the #1 pick this year?

Doubt we could even get a 2nd for it.

There will still be a couple teams that will. Wont be the compensation like Luck would have gotten. But I can see us getting a first next year and a 3rd this year along with a first this year.

from everything i have seen the lottery is what will happen if there is a lockout.

trading this yea's #1, though? it ain't happening. there is just no one marketable enough for it since luck is out of the picture.

i would 100% back the decision to trade down since there is no luck, but i just don't see it being attractive for anyone.

We could easily leak it that we're going to draft Cam Newton, and maybe hype him up mroe than he's worth, and convince another team to come in and take our first for their first and second. (Here's looking at you, Bengals.)

We don't really know at this point.

Different sources say different things. Heck, it may not even be decided on yet.

Logically speaking, why take time to decide on something like that now when the lockout hasn't happened, and might not?

I'm still of the belief that it won't happen. Sure, it may come down to the 11th Hour, but honestly, both sides know that too much money is on the line. And money talks.

    • Is this the wrong place to ask?  Help me please!!   I'm taking my 12 year old to his first game.  We would like to get there early.  Are there any kid friendly tailgating areas?   Thanks in advance
    • Honestly Bryce is a conundrum right now I'm not really sure what we should do with him but I am content on him being the quarterback number one going into next season. I think we should allow him the chance to play out the season to prove that he's the quarterback he can be going into next season.  I would not waste a high draft pick on a quarterback because I'm not sure anyone in this up and coming class is as good or has the ceiling that he had with that said I wouldn't throw away the future I would bring in someone like Justin Fields to have him looking over his shoulder and give us a plan b if everything doesn't go right on a one-year deal. I think the priority right now if tepper wants to make a big splash is find a way to get Travis Hunter that would be option 1AA because he helps with both sides of the field either way whatever you need defense or offense. Make that happen and then go mostly defense the rest of the way and we're cooking.
