Cam Newton looking better and better!

That's also a major issue with him. His footwork is very lazy/sloppy even for someone coming from a shotgun offense. He's going to need more work than people on here realize.

True but, his mechanics are as good as anyone in this draft class. 6'6 with a high release point. All i could say to Cam unbelievers is just watch to night at what he does before thinking he's a "big project."

How he performs in a college game means nothing about his preparedness to be an NFL QB.

The spread is everywhere these days. Bradford ran it so did Colt mccoy. Shouldn't change the way you draft a qb these days. It helps to run a college pro offense but not as much as you'd think, just look a jimmy.

Comparing the offense that Bradford or McCoy ran to the oversimplified one read and run scheme newton runs is laughable, also jimmy may not be so bad he did have Davidson as a OC there's no way he was going to develop well as a rookie with that.

How he performs tonight is irrelevant VY was great in a title game and that clearly worked out great for the titans.

I hope Casey Lays out cam tonight just like Clay laid out Mike yesterday.

He playing on the biggest stage in college. carried a mediocre team to the national championship 2 years in a row, and has mastered 2 different offenses in 2 years and won the Heisman. The question is why everyone is trying so hard to find faults with the talented guy in the draft. A lot of guys have gone number 1 as quarterbacks with a lot less talent and pedigree. Newton's intangibles are only surpassed by his physical talent. I was on the luck wagon but said all along if we couldn't get him, I would be happy to get Newton. Sure he will be rough around the edges and might need a year or two but he is much more talented than Josh Freeman and look where the Bucs are right now. I would be fine with that in a year or two. And I think Newton will pick it up quicker than Freeman. When you look at his potential impact versus Green, it really isn't close.

I also said I wanted Rivera as head coach given who they have interviewed.

If he's truly mastered the offense, why does he look to the sideline for all the adjustments/audibles?

he is just as as quick.just look @ m28 sig and how he changes direction.

LMAO you just got idiot of the week, The sped up sig vs college defenses?

Vick ran a 4.2!

Newton might run a 4.5 at best... Newton is not going to be the #1 pick heck he might not even go top 10.
