Lasik...

Zod....do it, do it and do it!!!

I had mine done way back in 1996. At the time I paid about $4500. I know you are a very active person so I honestly think you would certainly benefit from not being dependant on glasses/contacts. So much better for the pool/lake etc playing with the boys etc. Because it has been 14 years plus for me and you know, I'm not getting any younger, my eyes have started to get weaker again and I wear glasses again for driving/TV etc...but I don't really need to. Even then, for the 14 years of no glasses, it was most certainly worth it in my opinion.

i like having a back up plan. If my contacts start bothering me, I just take them out and put on the specs.

have many relatives and friends who have had it done and like it but I just don't like the idea of it not going well.

plus im not really a candidate anyways

timing is everything...tonight on the drive home there was a commercial for Lasik and they were claiming 35 million procedures completed....pretty sure not 100% of them were perfectly successful...but the percentages are extremely high!

when I had it done, they were saying thousands were completed!!!

I've never understood why contacts bother people, they're awesome.

Not judging, just no comprende

When I wroe contacts, I had to wear reading glasses to see up close. When I wear my glasses I have to take them off to read. 6 of one 1/2 doxen of the other.

I have known several people who have had it done and love it. I was told by a nurse who works sugery, don't go to a certain Dr. in Charlotte that advertises everywhere. Pick someone else. I understand the armed forces will pay for you to have it done for the past few years. (Hard to wear glasses in a battlefield. Maybe someone in the service can confirm this.)

I would love to have it done, but you need a ride home from the surgery. Unless someone want's to drive me there in the morning in the Custom Cruiser and then drive back in the afternoon. That's a lot to ask of someone.

It would be nice to wear normal sun glasses again! (The future's so bright, I have to wear shades!) :D
