To be fair though, I swore I read somewhere that the Bills wanted a offensive minded HC, which is why they were looking at Chan Gailey and Brian Schottenheimer

So I don't know how much of that was a knack on Fewell

The Bills wanted to clean house, yeah. They were tired of not having an offense. However, Fewell wasn't really given many tools on offense. It's taking Chan Gailey time to get them working on that front too.

I think Fewell could be a decent hire - he has some HC experience - but I worry that he is basically John Fox.

I agree but... keep in mind, this is probably how some Falcons fans felt about Mike Smith.

i'm not on the rivera bandwagon either.

none of the candidates sound good to me. all of them scream mediocre/status quo.

rivera is just the closest to sounding interesting but even then i'm far from sold.
