Mass Effect 3

so how about that mass effect 3 multiplayer. I liked the addition of something between the 20k credits and 60k credits for the packs. I got the n7 valiant sniper as part of that weekend where you had to defeat all those brutes and beat a reaper level on silver. From what I've read it's the best of the n7 guns you can get in mp.

Didn't like it all that much, quite frankly it should've never made it in the game. It was a single player game and should've stayed that way. ME3 story was so bad that it pretty much ruined the entire trilogy and was a huge disappointment for me. Probably the biggest let down in video game history. 1>>>>2>>>>>>>>>3 on story and reverse that for game play.

I played through ME1 three or four times, played through ME2 three times and barely made it through the third one and promptly sold it to pick up some PSN games.

ME3 has the best game play of the 3 games, a better rpg system then 2, not as good as 1 though. The story however is horrible from start to finish and that easily makes it the worst game of the series. It's a series based off of story and the player's decisions and neither of those are represented well in ME3.
I would not say that the story is horrible from start to finish, I thought the story was rather good except for the last 5 minutes of the game, I honestly don't see how you can even say that.

The game yes was a bit more predictable then ME 1 & 2 but you should have saw that coming all along the game is meant to be a combination of what you did in the previous two games. out side of the ending go the game most complaints that I have read are of things that should have been expected because of the progression of the story.

I was expecting my decisions that I made to have more of an impact on the third game, I knew it was going to be a conclusion to the story. I just didn't expect the story to be generic, even though I should've because of the second game. The game felt like they put too much time and effort into a component (MP) that just doesn't belong and not enough time fleshing out the story. I mean it's supposed to be in the mold of an epic conclusion and it wasn't epic at story wise.

BioWare announces Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut for free this summer to expand on the ending.

it says it's a bunch of new cutscenes.. I think people wanted a fight to the end and have their decisions have more of an impact than just GREEN BLUE RED.

I think i heard somewhere that the mp was done by a third party. So it's not like they took time out of their busy schedules dealing with the story component to do the multiplayer. It's still a good game, but not game of the year material.

if anyones has played the multiplayer i don't see how anyone can argue that bioware spent any real amount of time making it, it's just a real basic co-op horde mode nothing more.

imo i think it's still GotY a bad ending does not discredit 50 hours of awesomeness

They said at their PAX panel yesterday that the ending DLC this summer will be more than just cinematics or a coat of paint, they'll go into detail and expand on the ending. Considering I actually liked the endings from a storyline perspective and am just interested in more loose ends tied and elaboration, I'm pretty happy with it.

Mass Effect multilayer rant......

Random guy that just became party leader, whats that you want to play Gold even though you only have a level 7 Asari Adept? that's a good choice!

Teammate that I just revived but went down reviving you, what's that? you're not going to revive me and let me bleed out? cool man I didn't feel like playing for the next 3 minutes anyways.

What's that dude? you want to kick me because I didn't ready up right away and made you wait for 30 seconds, that's cool brah, I know that this game is really all about you anyway.

Yeah, people are quick to try to kick people even though you just completed one and you're trying to get a spectre pack or change your loadout. The worst is when the host leaves while you're opening a spectre pack or something and you have no idea what you got because it kicks you out of the screen that shows you everything.

Most pubs I play with are typically dumb. There's also some classes I don't bother reviving, especially on silver and above. I don't care if you're a level 20 vanguard, you should know it's stupid as poo to charge into a banshee. On bronze, I just take the weight hit and equip an OP gun in the event my team is dumb and doesn't wanna do the objectives. There's something wrong when you have almost 100k points and the rest of your team is in the 10ks. It's also nice when you unlock extra medi-gel slots so you actually want the guy you just revived to run even if you get downed. Once you figure out that each AI in the game will agro onto only one of you guys, it's pretty easy to just run table. You can just run past banshees and brutes and phantoms if they're not agro'd on you.
