I don't know, man. His job now is pretty nice.

He gets to fly around comfortably, doesn't have to worry about the day-in/day-out stresses of being a head coach, and gets to talk about the sport he loves. Seems like a pretty sweet gig to me.

Sparano remains the team’s head coach. If Ross successfully woos Harbaugh, he’ll have to fire Sparano and then comply with the Rooney Rule before hiring Harbaugh.

Harbaugh reportedly is scheduled to meet with the 49ers later this week. We’re told that he wants $7 million per year, and there’s a belief in league circles that Harbaugh leaked word that Michigan offered him $5.2 million per year in order to drive up his price at the NFL level.

The news of Miami’s interest in Harbaugh will tend to have the same effect.
