I'm finding this way more amusing than it should be.

edit: back on topic...

I'm a bit concerned that this insanity may somehow end up with Harbaugh back at Stanford. IT's almost like he's just seeing how much money he can get. 6+ mill?? What the hell

I think we as a fan based are so starved right now that anything slightly amusing/exciting gets us going. And Rob Ryan is just so starved now in general.

I would call Rob Ryan ALOT of things, but starved is definitely not one of them.

hope it does not backfire on him.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the 49ers are not willing to compete financially with the Dolphins' contract offer to Jim Harbaugh.

Schefter cautions that San Francisco is not totally out of the hunt, but the Fins' offer is believed to be in the $7-8 million range. SI's Peter King calls that number "insane," and it would make Harbaugh the richest head coach in the NFL. The Niners are reportedly "ready to move on" if Harbaugh follows the cash. As of late Wednesday, Stephen Ross' Dolphins appeared to have emerged as the favorites to land the soon-to-be-former Stanford coach.

The other team to watch in this whole deal is the Ravens.

Wonder what Jim's brother, who has now carried the Ravens to three straight playoffs, is going to think when his brother is making more than him, and any other coach in the NFL for that matter?
