Jerry Richardson is a bad owner

I know the Bills did as well and I'm sure there are more. He has an idea of what the cap will be and these 6-10 players aren't going to make us hit the cap. I doubt we even sign all of them. It should be important however to try and sign guys you see as necessities whether that be DWILL or Kalil or whoever.

Better to piss of a few then piss off them all right?

not necessarily.. it's not about how much per player and staying under the cap.. you have 52 players on a roster and each year you have varying amounts each player gets paid.

the CBA is key to knowing how to put this technical piece of the puzzle together.. if you can save 5 mil per year just by knowing how to spread cap space out, you have done well to wait..

If ya don't like the man who owns the team, then you have only 2 options, deal with it, or find yourself another team.

In my humble opinion, if you don't like the owner, ya have no business being a fan. Move on. It'll be better for you, and better for the rest of us.

PC, I don't necessarily believe that this is pc.

In my estimation, the team takes on a life of its own, or at least the fans' adoration for it. People may not like to believe and/or admit this, but the team is bigger than the owner.

Some owners are just downright odd.

Call me idealistic, but owners come and go, but the team remains entrenched in the hearts of fans forever (unless a crazy ass owner moves it away) [j/k...not really].

in these tough economic times for the NFL where a lockout is being threatened and negotiating is taking place on different levels probably every day, a little diplomacy from one of the front running owners is in order, especially when you're decision making has been detrimental to the team

but richardson decided to spew bile in every direction. hooray for unprofessionalism

I feel like I'm in a "wait and see" approach with JR right now. As I've said numerous times in other threads this year, and years past, I love JR for bringing the NFL here and believe he was truly passionate about it and cared about the fans at one time.

But, this year has really made me question what his motives are at this point.

I still respect him, but I think the presser was horrible and it was in bad taste and timing. I just pray it didn't hurt our chances at getting Luck and good coaches to come here.

So, at this point, it's like I did hold him in such high regard before that this year just kind of leveled me out to a neutral opinion of him. I don't know how I feel about JR or his real intentions right now. So, I'm waiting to see what he does next. Show and prove. Point blank, that's where I'm at.

As a long-standing PSL holder, this is how I feel.

Actually, I feel like I'm the lowest rung in a pyramid scheme at the moment.

I felt more air let out of my sails after the press conference.

I felt like I was funding Einstein's definition of insanity, NFL Style (...keep doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result).

I look at the 4 'candidates' for coach and I just can't believe that is the best that can be done.

If Luck does not come out on Jan 15th, it is to avoid the coaching selection in Carolina and playing for this owner...nothing short of that.

Jerry gave me a bad experience last year... the worst in the league

He didn't do anything to address my concerns as a PSL owner yesterday

I have a suspicion he flat out lied at least twice

He is the hard-line NFL owner with respect to the CBA negotiations potentially to the detriment of the team.

He's on notice but 1 season doesn't define him

Fans leaving is not what is best. As long as they (we) are bitching then fans are being fans.

Once they shut up the team is done

this is true.. and they have been bitching (I included) about vets playing when a younger player should start.. and back to back winning seasons being priority..

well JR addressed that and said that is his main goal..

how someone feels discouraged now is beyond me..
