And not good ones....statistically that is. In case you're not familiar with the abbreviations used, they are listed below.

DYAR: Defense-adjusted Yards Above Replacement. A Football Outsiders stat which compares the performance of each player, in terms of DVOA, to a replacement-level baseline rather than the league average for that position, then translates that total into yardage. Because DYAR is a total stat, not a rate stat, it helps show the importance of workhorse running backs and receivers who can draw the attention of the defense away from other players.

DVOA: The main statistic used on Football Outsiders, DVOA breaks down the entire season play-by-play, comparing success on each play to the league average based on a number of variables including down, distance, location on field, current score gap, quarter, and opponent quality. While it can be used as a measure of total team performance, it differs from other power ratings found throughout the Web because it can be broken down to analyze team effectiveness in any number of ways: down, quarter, rushing vs. receiving, location on field, passes to backs vs. passes to receivers, and so on.

Jimmy Clausen was the worst in the league at -651 and Matt Moore was 5th worst at -267. The guys between Jimmy and Matt were Max Hall, John Skelton, and Todd Collins, and Jake Delhomme right behind them in 6th. Our best quarterback was Tony Pike at -25, St. Pierre was at -89. Ouch. Interesting to note that both Pike and St. Pierre were ranked higher than Brett Favre. Tom Brady led the league of course at 2,137.

The surprise is that the worst receiver in the league (with a minimum of 50 targets) based on DYAR was none other than our Steve Smith at -153 (85th out of 85). The ESPN article acknowledges that most of it was due to QB play this season, but that his numbers have never been this low even with the 4 QBs in 2007 or Jake for many other years. David Gettis was our highest rated receiver at 62 (57th in the league), Brandon Lafell was at -41 (75th in the league)

Of the worst five tight ends, Dante Rosario was third worst at -79. The ESPN article acknowledged that his opposing schedule was tough and probably deserved a better catch percentage than he had due again to our awful QB play. Jeff King wasn't a lot better at -23, a mere 6 spots ahead of Rosario.

Needless to say, we need to improve our passing offense.

I'm not a guy that's big on statistics but from what I've seen all year I'd say we have huge holes all over our roster. So many people here keep saying we are stacked with talent and all we need is a new HC and QB but I don't see it. All I see is the worst team in the league with a long way to go until things turn around.

Same here we have good Rb's, mediocre offensive line, young but improving wr core that isn't on a high level, and a big question mark at the qb position.
