Pick the new HC

We could have Ryan as DC AND Rivera as HC. However, Im not that high on Ryan as others and Im sick of hiring coaches from Cleveland.

Ive all about Ron Rivera (and Harbaugh) for weeks/months, but Rob Ryan intrigues me. We need a spark...and I think he can pull it off

I went with Ryan, although I have a hard time imagining he and Hurney coexisting. But I can see him telling Smitty "I'm going to set you up, just hang on with me."

That's what we need, over-confidence, I don't care if it's false bravado or not, but get people fired up and get the players reinvigorated.

We need someone with lofty expectations and I know Ryan fits that bill.

No more of this win 3 out of 4, I want a coach and team that honestly expects to win every game. Expect to win the division and so on.

Always been a fan of both Ryan and Rivera. I'd love to get both as a HC/DC team.

It's too bad offensive geniuses don't grow on trees. Definitely Rivera out of this list. Maybe he learned a thing or two by watching Rivers play.

I agree with everyone about Rivera being more qualified and probably a better fit but rob Ryan is definitely intriguing. I think Rivera will be more like fox which is a good thing but Ryan would be vastly different which may also be a good thing. 1a and 1b for sure. The other two shoudnt even be interviewing.

didn't Thomas Davis say he is just hoping it isn't Ryan? That was even before he was named as a candidate.

I voted for Rivera - none of the others are up to that level IMO.

Rob Ryan is a distant distant second...and he's been a perennially below-average DC.

Rivera has been historically successful more often than not and seems to have the respect of his former players in a big way. If we have to pick from that list he's my choice.
