doubt Harbaugh would do that, he played for Carolina (as a backup) and didnt complain. i think he wouldnt try to convince Luck to reject Carolina.

Luck doesnt come across as a diva type like Eric Dickerson and John Elway did, but also consider this, we are infinitely better than the Colts of that era. The Colts were a brand new team in a smaller market, our team already has descent talent and a great fan base. Much different scenarios.

According to Moose, Florio, and Mort it seems that the rookie wage scale will not go into affect until the 2012 draft this could be good news for us. Here is an older article to back that up. Thanks I would really appreciate it if some one would make this a thread to me its that important!

Considering you guys would be trying to move all the way from 7, you're talking at least 3 first rounders.

pick 7 has half the value of 1, picks lose half their value when they're future picks, plus we'd be moving one of the hotter picks in a while PLUS we don't have a starting quality QB on roster so we'd have to have someone else rated almost as highly as Luck that we could grab at 7.

I honestly don't think you guys have the ammo to pull it off.

Good "luck" trying to strong arm Hurney and JR into making a trade... personally I'd rather see us let Luck sit out for a year and eat the # 1 overall pick then be bullied into trading him to the team of his choosing.

What would it cost to move from # 7 to # 1 in the draft? Schefter estimated it would take 3 first round picks. Are you ready to mortgage 3 consecutive 1st round picks for one guy?

JR is all about the owners taking back control of the league. I just can't see them folding and trading unless they just don't want to draft him.
