When players were polled on what coach in the NFL they would want to play for Rex Ryan was #1 by a large margin, followed by Bellicheat. No reason why Rob wont coach like his brother, they are nearly identical...

Mangini was offensive assistant for Bellicheck, as well as a Defensive Backs coach at one point, until he was offered yet declined a D coordinator position. I think he know both sides fairly well, but yea i guess your right he's more defensive, but i just remebered him on the offensive side..

I personally want Ron Rivera. He knows how to use both the 3-4 and 4-3 at a high level. His defenses have typically been high in many defensive catagories. I'm pretty sure everyone here wouldn't have a problem with a top 5 defense. But the OC needs to be independent from the HC.

From a fan's perspective I'm aggravated that we're looking at all defensive guys - but rationally the league has proven a defensive guy can be a good coach as long as he's willing to surround himself with a good coaching staff (and then let the coordinators coordinate)

From what I got out of the pressed was that they don't want a HC that's going to go all Foxy on the coordinators, they're going to interview the HC they're after and see if he'll fit the FO system, and they'll let the coordinators have more control of what they should have more control of. HC should be like the principle in our panther school, managing the students and teachers, but also letting the teachers do what they do best to get the students to perform to their maximum ability...
