Panther Ties On Stanford Staff

Bill Rosinski made a great point about this on his show this morning. There are three coaches on the Stanford staff who have ties to the Panthers:

Vic Fangio (Def. Coord.; Capers DC from 96-98)

Greg Roman (OL coach; on Panthers staff under Capers)

Mike (I think) Polian (Special teams coach and Bill's kid).

It is fairly obvious that Luck will go to these three and ask for their opinions about ownership and their overall feelings about their time here.

What they say could affect his decision. Or not.

Don't forget Jim Harbaugh, who was a backup QB to Chris Weinke in the 2001 season. He use to throw to Steve Smith when they were both on the practice squad. He has more ties to the Panthers than anyone.

And I'm sure Hurney and JR have spoke to Harbaugh about Luck.

Note, JR said they had not spoke to Harbaugh about coaching job, didn't say anything about talking to him about Luck.

Doesn't help if reports yesterday that Harbaugh was refusing Panther phone calls are true. Doubt he would be singing our praises to Luck.
