Sitting in the front row is what reporters work for. Its a sign that you have arrived. True for white house pressers, true for any presser. JR did not ask her to sit up front because she is an attractive female. He asked her to sit up front because she had established herself as a reporter in JR's circle of trust.

Yes, other reporters threw a hissy and jumped on it as sexist. But to assume an attractive female (why is this fact even brought up by reporters) can only be asked to sit up front because of her looks is in itself sexist as hell.

I didn't know what to think at first. I tuned in as he was talking about emails, so I was a bit dumbstruck. The Q/A seemed way too short, and I certainly didn't feel any better about the direction of the organization. And I know, after that disaster, Luck's parents will take notice and most likely not give our organization the thumbs up.

Will that be Luck's deciding factor? Probably not. There's a lot better reasons to come out right now than for Luck to stay at Stanford, our organization's PR taken into account. But we should be doing everything we can right now to attract talented players and coaches, not turn them off.

I really doubt Luck will give a poo about JR's presser.

He has access to people who meet with the guy personally, talk to him personally, and hell, once he declares, they're probably going to chat.

Luck has access to information we don't; he doesn't need to rely on sound byte snippets or anything. He works with people who know JR pretty well and I'm sure that if he is going to refuse to play here we'll hear about it soon.

I agree. JR basically just said everything that the very people that are bashing him now have been saying for the last two years. Even better, he didn't give some vague company line when asked direct questions either, which was also a complaint by those who are bashing him now. Go figure.

I may be one of few.. obviously this is the case...

but JR made one statement that made me feel really good about the future.. That those 3 men will be looking for a coach to bring success to the Carolinas.. Those 3 men are respectable regardless of how bad they damaged the media's ego..

Hurney, JR, and Morrison made it clear they are there to bring success to this franchise and nothing less will do..

this might not mean much if you have no respect for their intelligence, but I on the other hand find this a good thing and respect their intelligence..

Their goal was clearly stated: coach up younger players and have back to back winning seasons..

JR clearly said back to back winning seasons is the goal. And those 3 men are there to ensure that happens..

If I were Luck, I'd feel very good about that. They are successful at what they do and are done waiting around for a coach to figure it out..
