TIMING--It was awful. I wanted an apology more than anything else. Instead, I watched him use his power to scold the media, saw a pie chart, and watched him dote on a 30 year old babe. Luck says he turns off ESPN when he is on; I hope he doesn't watch this. Maybe we didn't recognize the humor, but do we know him well enough to?

Sure the CBA is difficult but we will do everything we can to avoid a lockout.

The CBA stuff in particular is part of the owner's strategy right now. They are tired of everyone saying "it's going to be okay" and had JR go out there and say, look, it's not going to be if blah blah.

I didn't mind the press conference that much. Him asking names didn't surprise me, since he expressly said there were so many new faces. Maybe I don't watch enough pressers but I thought it was common for a reporter to introduce themselves and say what venue they were from before asking a question. I guess that's just my inexperience.

If people actually listened to it I don't get how people think JR is *cheap*, though I do get why they think he wouldn't be paying anyone until the CBA since that is exactly what he said.

edit: But he was really combative to the media. He pretty much smacked Darin around in the entire first half, since all the rumors were his own doing, haha.
