Facts before press conference:

Jerry rarely speaks to media

1.Media as a whole has sworn he's gone cheap

2.Labor agreement is far from being settled

3.Jerry made a mistake keeping Fox too long for short term competive reasons

4.Jerry has mulitple "business" partners to keep happy

5.Morgan Fogarty is hot

6.doesent belive in retreads for head coach

Heres my interpretation of how he addressed these items

1.Coming out and controlling the room and saying hey listen mothefuger's i'm not cheap and heres why $11,440,000 on coaches isnt cheap. He also paid the hell outta Peppers, ate a bunch of dead money this year for Delhommes contract,etc.

2.The players are asking for too much, more money,more benefits, and less work.anybody want to dispute that? If they have their way then guess what we lose cuz us fans we'll have to pickup the difference in ticket prices

3. After the 2008 meltdown Jerry said Fox I want back to back winning seasons or its over for you. What can I do to help? Fox says uhhh lets give Delhomme a confidence booster in the form of a fat new contract and other stupid poo fox did. It didnt work and 09 sucked.

Now we have aging vets going into 2010 who if they stayed on the team were unlikely to take us anywhere promising. So why not let next years coach have an audition of the young talent already on the team and likely get us a better draft pick

4. Yes at the end of the day its a business, nobody gets upset when the players say its a business, so you shouldnt when the owners admit it as well.

I wondered what happened to the guy who said, “Thank you, thank you, thank you’’ to the original PSL holders who made the stadium happen. I never got the sense it registers on Richardson that the people asking questions Tuesday were proxies for his customers.

The irony is the actual PSL holders would have been far less respectful if they had been questioning him.

This is my only issue. Now that Jerry has his PSLs and guaranteed sold out seats his emphasis on the fans seems to be gone.

I could give a crap if he is a dotterinmg old guy who stares at blond tits. That's my plan in 30-40 years

I just wish he gave me any indication that his priorities lay with the fans and winning. Seems like he could give a fug.

he stated that is his primary goal.. what you do with that information is yours.. put it on a piece of toilet paper or take it for what it is.. Fox isn't here for a reason and that is why Fox wasn't resigned. He then said, the new coach will have these expectations put in front of him just like Fox..

matter of fact, he clearly said the 1st 3 coaches didn't have it spelled out for them. This time around it will be very clearly spelled out.. How is that not great news?

the media asked him questions and he put them in their place.. was he sparring? there was a session for the media to ask their questions (as usual) and he set them in their place when they needed to be.. if you are familiar with the media, they word their questions in a certain way..

when he was asked about being a cheap owner and going to hire a cheap HC, he made it clear they were the top 5 highest in paid coaches.. and then asked the reporter if he thought that was cheap.. the reporter said no.. so since the reporter agrees, why ask the question in the way he did?

was JR looking for a fight or was the fight brought to JR? that's the question you all should be asking..

we all know how unaccountable writers are and I respect that JR was one of few who called them out for it... as predictable as writers are, he didn't have to start the fight, he let it come to him...

for anyone to make it out as JR was on a crusade against the media, you're way off base.. however, he was very stern in making his point clear..

one of those points were "SOURCES CLOSE TO THE SITUATION"... is most of hte time bullshit and he made it clear that writers are full of poo and need to be more accountable..

how is that not the greatest thing you've seen in a while? LOL As a person who is sooooo tired of the media's stunts and lack of accountability.. I can't believe I'm one of few who sees this for what it is.. setting those f**kers back in their place..

The fans and media have shown disrespect on a weekly basis. Daily basis for many fans.

And y'all are upset when the man responds? Saying he is disrespectful and embarressing? Then what the hell does that make y'all?
