You all saw the JR the media has seen since day 1. Nothing has changed. The media is something to be controlled and kept at a distance. You are all accustomed to the fluffy nice fan friendly panthers team. Its the opposite for media.

If that room was filled with fans it would have been a different tone. Bad idea to webcast it and they are kicking themselves today for doing it.

Listened to it live. It was embarrassing. If he soooo needed to know who everyone in attendance was, he needed to come in prior to the conference to find out or have a camera with a feed to his pre-conference area and someone brief him.

As someone from here on twitter said, he sounded like that old, drunk uncle.

I disagree- it is common curtesy for a reporter to identify themselves prior to asking a question - why is the onous on JR to know who the hell everyone in the crowd is?

Couldn't agree more. I was excited about getting to see it, but afterward I see why he has these pressers so infrequently.

The "room" was actually in the Club area of the stadium - I think he was referring to that. I did get the feeling after each "WHO ARE YOU AND WHO DO YOU WORK FOR" that he was gonna say "GTFO" depending on the answer.

Like has been said already, JR had seems to have had several goals for this thing: 1 -to put the media in it's place after all the BS; 2 - to let the fans see him do it, and tell his version; and 3 - clarify his position on the CBA.

As for Morgan Fogarty, they are friends. Even so, he certainly underestimated how those comments would be interpreted, and I am quite frankly surprised that the national media hasn't picked that up and run with it.
