Carolina Panthers not seeking fame in coach's search

(By Tom Sorensen, [email protected]) If Andrew Luck leaves Stanford, sources say, Carolina will select him with the first pick in the NFL draft. Luck, a redshirt sophomore, has until Jan. 15 to declare.p/Jim Harbaugh, his Stanford coach, won't join him.

nope, true, if they are wise, they look to hire either Ron Rivera and have him get Josh McDaniels as his coordinator, or go after a hot offensive coordinator, who knows what we do, but i hope it's a good move, i also would like to see Jeremy Bates (offensive coordinator of the Seahawks) get an interview, even if he doesnt get the job.

Mike Smith is the model of who I'd like to see in Carolina. The nondescript non-celebrity who was the DC under Jack Del Rio and has now, as HC, taken Atlanta to new heights...dangit. We'd do really well to get someone even close - Great leadership willing to surround himself with creative, tough talent. To all those who criticize the Panthers' for going this route...just chill! It's the right thing to do!
