on one hand, you have a player that can excite a fanbase like few before him, that seems to have literally no down side, that seems to be the perfect (albeit not pretty) face of a franchise. on the other hand, you can get some draft picks you can throw around and maybe pick up a QB with some serious issues.

Keeping in mind QB is probably our most desperate position of need not only on the field but also in terms of motivating fans and the media about the team... Do you see why they wouldn't trade it, even for a proverbial king's ransom?

Idk how I feel about this though, because I'm worried that if he stays close to Stanford then Luck may be more inclined to stay. I know it isn't a very likely scenario because being an NFL coach is a full-time job, and he won't really be there for Luck to help him anymore... But, in terms or familiarity and comfort, I don't like that he's staying close by.

For some reason I still think Oliver Luck's hearty laugh after Andrew was asked on the stage if he was going pro was telling...

More than likely, Luck leaves regardless of what Harbaugh does.
