Jerry shouldn't have called out the media

Jerry wasn't ranting about the Media's coverage of the CBA. He was ranting about their coverage of the Panther's. More specifically a few regional writers. It was more or less a warning to them, as he has been known to deny credentials to local writers if the organizations deems what they have written to be detrimental to the panthers.

no he was ranting about how people were reporting that he was being cheap and it being related to the CBA, so in a way, yes he was ranting about media stories related to him and the CBA

He never once ranted about people reporting that he was being cheap. He made one comment about how opinions change depending on the year, how one year people will bitch about him spending to much and then the next bitch about him not spending enough. All other monetary remarks where in direct response to questions, such as why he didn't fire John Fox before the season.

His rant about the media was about false articles and sourcing regarding draft day and head coach hiring speculations.

which every other owner goes through so i don't understand why he thinks it's such a personal offense

you're team's failing, they're not producing results, people have questions and speculate, it happens to most teams every year.

It wasn't the speculations that he had a problem with, it was the use of "sources" to make it seem like fact that he was calling out.

which again, i ask, why aren't 31 other coaches getting pissed and ripping the media because they've all been victims of that in the past

oh yea, because it doesn't accomplish anything, that's right

It doesn't accomplish anything, and it doesn't change anything. It also doesn't affect anything, which was your whole point, that it would affect his ability to lead negotiations for the CBA.

so there was a slightly flawed CBA argument which was a contradiction to what the commissioner said just yesterday, and he just spent a portion of the interview (which is a rare public occurrence) bitching about the media, but it doesn't affect anything, got it
