People get on Newton's throwing mechanics but damn Rivers shot puts the ball and look what he's doing with the Chargers.

His release is very very unique. It's very quick first of all which is to his benefit and if you look at it in slomo he gets to some of the same spots throughout the motion as other QBs. It's similar in comparison to a golf swing. Everyone's is a little bit different but there are certain spots throughout the swing you have to hit to be consistent and Rivers does this.

I'd prefer Cam Newton, but that could easily change after the national championship. Though I think Newton will continue his dominance.

i dont, i think in the pros, his runs will not be as great and his passing will not be as great, i prefer Gabbert and Mallett and Locker to Newton, i just dont think Newton is ready to start, he played in a college offense that fit him, this offense wont work in the NFL and i wouldnt put the keys of a franchise in his hands and he has some character issues, The pick should be Luck and if not Luck, then i pass on the QBs unless you trade down and that wont be easy to do.

Blaine Gabbert has a huge arm.. not sure where you are getting your info.

Mallett to Roethlisberger comparisons are very accurate. Both in stature, style of play, and wiggerness.

well, i think Gabbert is similar to Rivers a little bit, i think Luck is more like Ben.

my issue isnt his throwing mechanics as it's his footwork and the one read spread system he played in and the fact that i think he will run too soon when he goes pro.
