A good O-coordinator, a O-Line that actually blocks, a consistant running game, experienced WR and experience for himself will improve Clausen alone. Not a f*cking rookie QB.

Yeah the team was great last year also... this was a no-win situation for any QB.

It get's worse... I can see JR trading away this years #1 for a #1 and #2 this year and a #1 next year . The man is prepared for a lockout and I think we are stuck with Clausen for a couple of years.

Playing with any QB that has a better skillset than he does will help him just by viewing a different way to do things. Having him on a team where the only other active QBs were no better didn't do him any good.

He is, before all things, a young rookie and we've all said at one time or another that throwing a Rookie QB to the wolves before they're ready will hurt their development because the NFL is a different game.

I have, and still do, believe that once Jimmy has a chance to sit behind someone else and just learn / adjust he'll get better. He won't ever be an elite QB and my personal feeling is that he'll never be more than a good backup / average starter for a team with no other options. But improvement is improvement...

Luck will improve everyone on the team, including Clausen. Competition breeds excellence. He will also work wonders with the defense too. Just imagine if our defense didn't have to go back on the field as soon as they got off of it?
