Fans are just fickle and will never be happy. J.R brought the point that some complain when we spend too much on some players and then in other years complain that we don't spend enough. He also prettyuch had the balls to admit that last year was sorta sacrificed for the better of the franchise.

Funny thing is most on here flamed catman when he suggested that we e-mail him and say we want Harbugh but as soon as he potentially dismisses Jim as a candidate they hate him. I bet this board would be jumping for joy if everything in the presser stayed the same and Jerry hinted at us going for harbaugh

It sucks that Harbaugh is pretty much out of the picture. They said never say never, but the way they've picked coaches in the past by going the assistant/coordinator route has been effective and more than probable this time too.

Does anybody remeber JR saying that "he didn't think his staff would play the younger player if the older player were still here". Now maybe he was talking about the whole Fox not going 2 Matt Moore until Jake got hurt which may have pissed JR off more then it did Fans. Or the Foster - Dwill thing or the Ken Lucas over Richard Marshall thing when Marshall was playing at a hire level. I'm just saying we all thought that Fox was sticking with his Vets too long.

I liked the speec JR gave today. It seemed like he was bashing John Fox but never said it directly. He seemed very angry about the performance of our coaching staff and it seemed that he was ready for next season. He has a lot of faith in our young players which is always good.

I also wonder if the Matt Moore incident was what JR was talking about? He was talking about multiple players so no telling which ones in particular he was talking about. I also wonder if Fox decided to start Clausen because JR complained about how he never lets the youth play. So Fox wanted to show JR what happens when youth plays over Vets by starting Clausen over Moore.

I think if this had been the case Clausen would have started from day one. Clausen started because Moore's play was more fuked up than a crackhead's check book and Fox didn't have the same loyalty to him that he did with Delhomme. You saw how long it took him to start Pepe Le'Pew after we aquired him right?
