I personally liked the press conference

After almost a decade of Hurney/Fox pressers, it was nice to get some straight information for a change. We learned

1) Fox was too loyal to vets sometimes to the detriment of the youts. (yes, 98 percent of us have been saying that here for 5 plus years but this came out of the mouth of Big Cat himself...stunning).

2) Will keep the #1 pick

3) Will not participate in free agency or re-sign players until a new CBA is announced.

4) Fox and staff were retained this final year for financial reasons (costs 11 million plus to not bring them back). Notice he never said that they were brought back because he thought they was the best option available. Says loads.

5) CBA negotiations not going well.

6) Harbaugh not favorite choice. Wants NFL coaches.

I got more info today than I have gotten in a while. Thanks JR.

the man had a heart transplant and is 100 years old.. I mean, y'all hold some impressive standards on the guy..

he still handled the media like a pro and came out without a script to address all you fans.. pretty impressive.

To me the press conferance had more to do with lashing out at the media than anything else.He seemed defensive to me and felt he should have put a more positive spin on the future of the Panthers and why a coachs, fans and players would want to be a part of his vision. While I understand his point regarding the CBA I felt he carried his message a bit to far.I still dont know where he was going with the cell phone story.
