You want the truth or lied to? Fans bitch that teams lie to them all the time, here is an owner that brought it straight.

Hell no you don't sign anyone till the CBA is done. No one knows what the cap will be. Also they don't become free agents with no CBA so you retain their rights. They aren't going anywhere.

What progress in the CBA is there? The asshole union wont' come to the table. They are too tied up making demands and trying to file lawsuits that will be shot to hell, than actually sitting down and getting a deal done. I bet mid Feb you hear the owners tell the players to fire smith and get someone to the table that is willing to negotiate.

Boner for a chick? GOOD! Means the old man isn't dead and has some fire to him!!!

We arn't trading the #1 pick and that pick is Luck if he comes out. That is all good news.

You jerks would bitch if you won the lottery because you had to pay taxes.

LOL, That is good poo, well spoken.

Thank You!!

I know some of what JR said concerning the CBA sucks as fans, but as for his overall philosophy towards the team, I am all for it...

The current situation the Panthers are in started at the end of 2008, but like all recessions, it is easier to see more clearly in hindsight.

The Panthers were on a downhill trajectory after the Arizona game b/c the QB we pinned our hopes to (Delhomme) had lost it and we had failed to address the QB position for years.

I think Richardson was concerned about the direction of the franchise with Fox after 2008, but with the looming CBA issue, decided to ride it out.

As he alluded to this morning, we had 20 of 22 starters coming back in 2009. I believe JR refused Fox an extension b/c of the lack of back-to-back seasons. However, I think JR saw 2009 as a chance for Fox to prove he could win back-to-back, but he wasn't going to give him a pass for injuries, etc. like he had in the past.

And to go off on a tangent, I still can not believe we did not make the playoffs in 2006... that to me is what started the beginning of the end with Fox... He had all the resources to work with, no significant injuries, and still couldn't make it happen.

But going back to 2009, Fox wasn't able to get back to the playoffs. I think Fox stuck with Delhomme so long b/c he honestly thought Delhomme was their best shot to win and ultimately convince JR he could produce back-to-back.

I think JR wouldn't have been sad to have seen Fox leave last year, but it didn't work out and JR didn't want to eat the contracts, so he left Fox in place. A big mistake, in my opinion, but a business decision to JR.

As fans, we jumped on the Matt Moore bandwagon b/c we wanted to believe based on a few games last year he could be the guy. The Panthers obviously weren't totally convinced based on the draft decision for Clausen.

As it turned out, a rookie QB, inexperienced players with little depth, and a lame-duck coach lead to this disaster. Looking back, it's hard to envision it not being this way, but oh well.

Enough said, it's 2011, and hopefully the consolation prize for 2-14 will be Andrew Luck. Can't say enough about him. It will truly suck if he doesn't come out. We need a franchise QB to compete in the NFC South.

I do think JR is committed to winning, but he is obviously committed to winning the CBA more as of right now. Hopefully the CBA gets worked out and he gets back to the first priority.

JR has been a good owner for 15 of the 16 years for the Carolina Panthers fans. This year he was a good owner as a businessman. He didn't become a billionaire by making everyone happy.

We have been to the same number of NFC Championship games as the Falcons and Saints, and 1 more than the Bucs in a much smaller window. Although the Saints and Bucs have won Super Bowls.

In the grand scheme, we have been a successful franchise comparatively speaking. The Texans have yet to sniff the playoffs in 9 years. Think about that.

We have a good young core of talent. I hope they do what is necessary to keep it and continue to add. Those guys got a lot of valuable experience this year, and it will pay dividends down the road.

I will continue to support the Panthers.

nice read. Thanks.
