Sweet, this all just furthers the belief that we'll win as many games if the season is locked out as we will if it isn't.

there were a couple bummers in that presser, but there were also a couple positives.

1) richardson isn't content with no back to back winning seasons and that won't be something that is tolerated.

2) he also isn't crazy about a coach "staying the course" when it's obvious that isn't working. he wants and will demand someone that can make adjustments and isn't afraid to change course. imo, this was a direct criticism of fox.

3) he wants a coach that is going to help get the fanbase energized and selling tickets and able to bring excitement to the game.

4) they aren't really interested in trading away that first rounder and would rather draft an impact player.

5) he isn't going to be selling the team and plans on owning it as long as he's alive. of course i'm not sure what that means after he's gone.

6) he doesn't sugar coat anything. i'd rather him be honest about stuff than just say things to tickle our ears.

the one thing that bothered me is hurney being in charge of the coaching selection process. i just don't trust him all that much. i would have liked to hear something...anything from morrison, but hopefully he will get hurney to step outside his box.

Ok..going to go eat lunch, but do you all believe that John Fox had a big hand in free agency decisions? I don't. And if not, why should we have a new found confidence in the Panthers FO willingness to put money where they feel that puts them in the best opportunity to win with respect to the head coach search/hiring.

that's what I take from the PC in addition to the realization that JR would look dumb as heck riding the Play60 bus.

I agree with everything but the last part. I understood him to say that Danny and Marty would be in charge of the list but in the end it would be his decision.

And i'm sure that TBC will have some input as to who gets interviewed.
