We finally have a good offensive line we have to keep it intact. Gross isn't an elite LT but he is above average and is worth keeping to maintain the consistency on the line so we don't have to move anyone around.

A new (good or decent) DE is way more feasible than a new offensive lineman, IMO.

You do realize that Gross was named to the All-Pro team. That is much more meaningful that the Pro Bowl (which is nothing but a popularity contest). Gross was considered one of the top two tackles this season.

Pay the man.

Remember, franchised players can't negotiate new contracts til after the regular season has ended so they've only been "negotiating" for a few weeks.

  True, but the majority of the union are backups and bottom of the roster guys that don't have power. So, I don't see it happening.

  Even though it would benefit the vast majority of the union members. I don't like capping contracts though. Uncapped contracts in a hard cap league is a big part of what keeps the NFL competitive and gives bad teams hope. Teams can't just outspend their rivals to load up and paying a top tier player means you have to make sacrifices elsewhere on your roster.
