Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

While there is no way to tell if you will be a great NFL player or not it seems you have done the one thing that can be of use to the Carolina Panthers already. You raised your stock last night. Whether or not we need you or will get you is a matter up for debate amongst all Panther fans and I personally do not care one way or the other at this point. However you made yourself an even bigger bargaining chip last night and increased the options available to our FO.

Your great play last night was just like putting money in our bank account. Should you choose to declare now we have more power to deal for you.

Welcome to the NFL..You are now meat for the market.

I don't get what is so horrible about it... It is true...

He increased his value, and if that is the route we want to go (sticking with teh Jimmy), then it is good for us that he has made himself more valuable...

Either way it is a win/win if he comes out. We'll take him and use his talents for ourselves, or sell him off to the highest bidder...

The NFL is a business, and the players are the commodity...

we've needed a legit QB for years and we finally get a chance at it and what do we do? sell it? lol what a fail.

Everything is for sale. You cannot lock yourself into one scenario.

The thanks to luck was genuine. He increased his worth as a bargaining chip. If he comes out he is our chip. The guy with the most chips has an advantage. He does not always win but he does have an advantage.

    • Every year people freak out about the cap and every year the Panthers spend.  Caps a myth and can manipulated to get what you want
    • Show me any available metric or measure where he has been top 10?
    • I don't think anyone would argue about the potential of XL, Coker and Sanders.  We're in the bottom because we have very young weapons.  The entire offense is a work in progress so I don't put very much stock in where our receiving core ranks.  What I do care about is projecting going forward but that is much more subjective.  I think Coker is going to be somewhere between Moose and Smitty.  I still see a ton of upside with XL and the team is still trying to figure out how best to use him.  Adam T. is just a smooth vet and we we definitely need that. It took a bit for Sanders to get going and when it looked like he was really showing out, he got injured.  He's a guy who looks like he's really putting in the work but still too early to tell how big of a weapon he could be for Bryce but he's shown enough to be a starter. Do we need a #1 WR?  Of course but I don't know that he isn't already on the team.  I wouldn't be mad if we draft one in the first round because it's all about the best that's available and I mean that literally.  What positions can we upgrade and what are we passing over if we do take a WR in the first. I feel comfortable with a number of options be it trading for a #1 WR, drafting one in the 1st round or rolling with what we have (with some added depth, a la Moore).  Any of those options allow us to compete and progress towards becoming a winning organization year in and year out.
