Put yourself in Lucks shoes.

Money's not an issue on this decision.

Honestly, I think it's currently more likely that Luck returns to Stanford.

He doesn't return to the Stanford he loves. He returns to a new coach, new starting teammates, etc. They talked about the family last night. Harbaugh is the glue. 9 senior starters gone. Bunch of assistant coaches will leave. The team will be average with Luck next year. I would not go there as a coach.

haha you guys compare yourselves to Luck because you'd do it for the money, hilarious. Luck is just not that type of person. I don't know why you guys can't obviously see that because it is one of the things that makes him such a great prospect. Luck is not a moron, he is mature and smart. Three things in order will ultimately matter to Luck. He already knows Harbaugh isn't returning.

1. his Family

2. his Degree

3. Where he will ultimately end up

I think he wants to stay in school. That is what he wants to do. Sometimes, it isn't about what you want to do though and that is his dilemma.

out of those three...I'd imagine number 3 is the most pressing factor he'll consider.

Family? They just want him to do what he wants to do. He's a good kid with a good head on his shoulders and they'll trust him to make the right decision.

Degree? It's not like he's majoring in cross country biking that a short NFL career (relatively speaking) would hinder him from finishing later in life.

Does he want to go to Carolina. That's the issue. JR is a NFL dude...NOT necessarily a player's owner. (don't look too deep into that) But NC is a great place to settle and raise a family (I don't know Luck's situation). Moderate climate.

I just hope no one mentions to Luck that TC is held at Wofford college...we're completely screwed if they do.

I honesty don't think the degree is that big of a deal. He can go back anytime and grab that, and honestly, he's going to be so rich if he declares, why would he even worry about that degree?

I think he's going to declare, because he's reached a point where he can't accomplish any more. He won the Orange Bowl, he was the MVP, the PAC-10 player of the year, and all of this other greatness. Now, it's time for him to test himself, and see what he's really made of.

Also, I think that we need to get our coach QUICK. We have until the 15th to let Luck know which coach he'll be playing for if he declares, so we better get the ball rolling.

He thinks about it.

Asks Coach "are you leaving?" in a private meeting.

Sees that most of his Oline will be gone.

Knows that a decent franchise is at #1

Googles Panthers for more info.

Stops by the Huddle for some info

Decides to declare based on his info.

Andrew Luck: *Googles Panthers, finds the Huddle* Wow... These guys must be raging homos, judging by how bad they want me. Not going there. Oh wait, no, they said no homo. Awesome. Declaring.
