I've never been on a cruise and a friend of mine insists on doing this for her birthday.. any tips, recommendations, or warnings?

Been on two recently both to Bahamas (both Carnival ships). Once leaving Charleston, the other from Port Canaveral. Food is excellent, literally you could eat like 15 meals a day. Drinks are expensive close to 8.00 per drink. If you cant live with out soft drinks you can buy a soft drink sticker for unlimited soft drinks. Room service is great your room is cleaned twice a day once in the AM then turn down in the pm. Each room looks about the same except for the cabins suites. Save the money and buy an interior room, and the ship and waves make for the best sleep (feel like a baby being rocked to sleep).

Besides the cruise look for shore excursions.

be prepared to pay out the ass for any alcohol at all...

I bought the $55 soda cup and drank that the whole time... The water has a funny taste to it, and the tea and lemonade are poo...

this. The water has to be filtered ocean water.

I did the same thing on Carnival. Whichever line you decide on bring your own water, and fill up one or two of the bottles with vodka. Buy the unlimited soda and pay 50 bucks for what would cost you 300.

Id have to disagree, its well worth the extra money for a balcony. Nothing like catching a sunrise or sunset right outside your door. ( plus it comes in real handy if your a bud smoker )

let me know how its lookin cuz my sister and I are also looking to go on one as well. We were looking at carnival too.

My boss says carnival is the best way to go for single nightlife/partying/no families.

Put ur trees in a case/bag/pillbottle/whatever u use, then put it in a sock then in a shirt then buried down in your suitcase somewhere. just make sure its packed in like 300 things so its not blatantly sticking out.

a friend of mine went with her boyfriend and they just rolled joints and smoked those the whole time.

Listerine works...I know I went on one and they were checking water bottles and stuff for alcohol but we got through with the listerine. Couple bottles of that and the unlimited soda and you can have mixed drinks all week for cheap.

I wouldn't advise trying to smuggle your own bud... Get caught with that, and no cruise for you!

BUT... If you are a fan of cigars like my friend that went with us on our last cruise, they don't really go too in depth searching those...

yeah its not the best idea but I know so many people who have gotten away with it.

reminds me of this drunk ass old couple i met on the beach in mexico when I was studying abroad. They were telling me how she had put it in her hoo-ha(gross). Then her husband went into the water and mooned us both. crazy ass old people.

      I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛

      bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
