Build from the ground up? How? With a 4-3 we have the LB's set. Sign Johnson and we have one DE spot set. And between Hardy and Brown having another year the other DE should be good. The only thing we truly need are a pair of DT's.

By set you mean the starters are going to be Beason, Conner and Senn? Because Davis, Anderson and Williams are free agents.

And I like how you dismiss signing Johnson and two DT as just simple moves and we have the #1 defense in the NFL.

So what you are saying then is that we need to sign or aquire during the offseason 2 starting OLB, 1 starting DE, and 2 starting DT. And then have Brayton, Hardy and Brown compete for the other starting DE spot and Beason is the starter at the Mike.

5 FA Signings/Draft Picks

2 Under Contract

And under your logic we would be returning 5 of 7 starters from a defense that went 2-14.

What I am saying is to switch to a 3-4 you would need 1 DT, 2 DE and 2 OLB from either the draft or FA. With Beason already being under contract.

Same amount of building. You're just using the same old pieces that went 2-14.

-Unnecessary hyperbole, no where did I we would suddnely become the number one defence.

-Johnson has recently stated his desire to remain a Panther. While this doesnt make it a cakewalk, I don't think it will be to difficult, because of this.

-While I hope we do,we don't have to sign both Davis and Anderson. As this year proved the LB core of Beason Connor and Anderson is a pretty stout group.

-I never said Brayton to start. IMO it should be between Hardy and Brown for the starting gig.

As for the five returning 2-14 players starting: Ive already stated I don't want Brayton. Which of the remaning four do you think is unwise to start and why?
