Want Harbaugh? email [email protected]

How'd that email work out?

Thanks for the neg rep too, lol.

Neg rep was for calling someone an idiot, thought that was totally unnecessary. It's one thing to disagree, it's another thing to be rude about it.

Since the word on the street is that the Panthers were considering Harbaugh, I'd say the email worked pretty well... but not well enough to overcome the fact that Harbaugh was asking for things we were not willing to give him and appears to have intended to coach the 49ers from day 1.

Boo hoo.

FO doesn't give two shits about who the fans want. There's also no firm evidence linking us to Harbaugh. We have 4 interviews with defensive coordinators who are well established in the NFL, so I doubt he was ever much of a candidate.

I'm not the one crying about neg rep.

If the FO doesn't care about what fans want or think then why do both JR and Danny Morrison spend a few hours of their day responding to those feedback emails? Most people don't even expect a response to those emails, so it would be easy for them to get away with not responding at all.

Ask yourself this, if it's true that we were calling Harbaugh and he wouldn't return our calls (which was reported by Tim Kawakami who so far has been right on everything else he's said on the Harbaugh situation) then would the FO admit that they were interested in Harbaugh but he wasn't calling us back?

I wasn't crying about neg rep, I thought it was funny, thus the "lol" that followed the comment. Perhaps I should have written it out.

They spend time doing PR and damage control on one of the franchises worst seasons, right after they hiked ticket prices.

They're not going to consult with fans about staff or personnel decisions and to think they will is nothing short of idiotic. Like my father used to tell me, jokingly, "you're entitled to your opinion, but mine's the only one that matters."

One person reports that he wouldn't return our calls, just after the Rose Bowl there were reports that Panther officials were standing in the tunnel waiting to talk to him. I guess you believe everything you read, I wish you good luck with that.

I never suggested they would "consult" with fans about who the next coach would be, but if you have a significant portion of the fanbase clamoring for something I have a hard time believing they wouldn't at least consider it. Didn't JR just get done saying it's important for the next coach and the team to entertain the fans? That sure sounds like someone that gives a damn what the fans want to me.

You thought it was a stupid idea, that's fine... good for you.
