Harbaugh Leaning Towards NFL Per Schefter

Schefter on ESPN - but I can't find it in text so not sure if I misheard or what.

EDIT: Found it:

Though in that one he just says "sources" so maybe "sources" didn't mean team sources but "poo I made up to throw at a wall." Also, he says Harbaugh won't want to go to SF.

Now wouldn't it be amusing if the Panthers refuse Harbaugh, Harbaugh refuses Michigan, Luck remains at Stanford and so does Harbaugh? It would make sense with our luck.

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken Schefter has run into problems before with that whole "sources" thing. I really don't see how he's got people telling him we won't even give Harbaugh a look, but Gantt is convinced we will. If he is hearing that from someone, I doubt they are from the organization when Gantt is hearing the opposite.

I wonder if his source is the same as Glazer's... Fox (or Fox's agent).

I love how when someone like Schefty says that Harbaugh isn't coming here, people jump on him but when someone says that Harbaugh is in the mix here, that person gets praised.

Fact is, this forum is so biased its ridiculous, its like fans want to hear what they want to hear and not take anything else seriously...

There are other candidates, you know? To say that none of them wouldn't be successful but Harbaugh will is stupid considering that like most of the candidates he hasn't been a HC in this league

Again college and pros are completely different levels

There have been studies that show people seek out sources that reflect their own opinions, ideals, and beliefs. There's a reason there are outlets like Fox News and NPR...

Of course fans are biased towards certain candidates they like.

The problem is, guys like Schefter are discounting our organization without any substantial evidence to be doing so. It's an insult. When the local guy who's been pretty on top of most things with the organization for a number of years now, is saying we'll give Harbaugh a look, yet Schefter is saying we won't at all because we're cheap - you have a problem with that.

He is saying that and I disagree with him entirely... but, there is a possibility that he is right even if his reason is wrong. What if the reason is because JR just thinks we have a better shot at winning with a coordinator?

And that would be fine, I was just saying that it wasn't Schefter's report that people had a problem with, it's his reasons or lack thereof.

It's not like we're the only fan base hoping to bring him in as coach - the guy is a hot commodity, so to say we're wrong for wanting him to coach here, or wrong because we don't agree with Schefter's reports and lack of substantial sources IS WRONG.

I think ESPN realizes they could be wrong. Another insider story just says we do have "slight interest" in Harbaugh.

LMAO, typical ESPN. That's why I never even got into the Insider stuff, because they just leech off of local papers for the most part. But then they have guys like Schefter and Mort making reports from their "sources" which often flip flop anyway.

Just like Sparano was going to be fired regardless of what happened 2 weeks ago according to Mort and Schef, then last week he was safe, and now he's on the hot seat again. Same with Jason Garrett.

They really do just fling poo at the wall and hope something sticks and it pisses me off they do it with our team chalking it up to being "cheap."
