I do remember you though, you must still be bitter from that one time I called you out for saying some nonsense and it was because you hate the Steelers and were biased on the subject.

You talk on and on and on, and never clarify your point, maybe that's the issue. All the same as you saying I hate the Steelers. I'm actually pulling for the Steelers. I've grown up in a family who are die hard Steelers fans.

Anyhow, enough is enough. Carry on.

Clarify your point instead of saying "you hate the steelers and biased on the subject". You dont even remember what we were talking about. It wasn't about the Steelers at all. No wonder you are hard to follow. You bring up random poo that pertains nothing to a topic.

No hard feelings, it's whatever. I could continue to talk in circles with you, but anyhow, enough is enough. Carry on.

Just out of curiosity...how many of those die hard Steelers fans in your family spend half their time complaining about the 3 Tar Heels on their team?

I'm convinced that Willie Parker would be hated by half the Panthers fanbase if he would have ended up here.

Well, my mom graduated from UNC, so she loves him and all UNC grads. My dad loves him cause he produces for the Steelers and is a top RB in the league. As for my sis, well, she'll watch the game, but won't know what's going on.

My dad isn't a UNC fan, he's an NC State fan. He still likes "Fast" Willie Parker. He doesn't talk too much smack, but he does comment on, "How didn't they play him in college, I'll never know."

So in other words, they don't complain too much. ;)

They didn't have the ol that Pittsburgh has had...nor the coaching staff until the last couple of years ;)

I wouldn't say the Steelers have the OL either, lol.. They were hurting bad throughout the season. Then again, Parker wasn't in most of that time either.

The Steelers have fought hard, that's for sure.

So the story goes, Parker didn't play due to him and John Bunting being at odds with each other.

Sack's actually do lie, I'd rather have a pressure that lead to a pic then a sack. so how many hurries/hits did peppers have. Now compare that to the other top DE in the league.

He wasn't in the top ten in hits as of week 12 but was 5th in hurries as of week 12. As of week 12, counting hits/hurries/sacks he's not in the top 10 overall. I'm looking for updated end of season stats.

Not to be overly adversarial, but hurries and hits don't necessarily lead to picks, but sacks lead to lost yardage as well as gets into the mind of the opposing QB that will cause him to throw the picks when he is hurried and hit.

Moreover, certain players will command the attention of the line, thereby freeing up their teammates to provide the hurries and hits which help to skew the stats even more. So, keen observation and an understanding of the dynamics of the game are required to realize the big picture.

All-in-all, IMHO the "hurries and hits" category can be kind of nebulous where the sack is concrete.

But it is telling of a dominant Dlinemen, Kampman had 12 sacks in 2007 but he also had 45 hurries/hits which made him the most effective pass rusher in the league that year, he got doubles as does peppers. A dominant linemen will get sacks plus hurries and hits.

Helps out the other linemen, While peppers had 14.5 sacks and around 20 hurries but didn't have but about 8 hits this past season, one of the reasons a lot of people on here said he wasn't getting pressure. It's cause compared to the top pass rushers He wasn't.

The best dlinemen in a given year will have around 60 hurries/hits/sacks totaled. Peppers was only in the 40's this season and it was one of his best season's with us. I'm just saying he isn't worth the money as the top paid defensive player in the league because right now he isn't even in the top 10 in overall dominance on the line.

Well, it's all pretty much a moot point. Not to be too cynical or sarcastic, if Peppers is who the anti-Pep crowd thinks he is, then they should be jumping for joy. IMHO, if they deem Pep to be an unispired, "sometimey", marginal, overpaid under-performer, then they ought not be surprised if we don't get too much in return when the dust settles. Why scream for first round and second round picks if his play is not worthy of such compensation? Why expect the Panthers to franchise him on February 26 if he is so overated, particularly when tagging him would cloud the signing of Jordan Gross?

You can't have it both ways if, in your heart, you believe that Peppers is not worth the money, time, or respect that his contribution warrants. Isn't it somewhat hypocritical to scream that he is not worth the money on one hand, then hold out your other hand for high draft picks? The Panthers think a whole lot of Peppers, or they would not have offered to make him the highest paid player at his position in the NFL. He didn't get the offer to make him look like a more appealing bone to other NFL teams, he got it because of his past production as probably the best defensive player in franchise history. The organization is handling the situation how it's supposed to be handled, while many fans are basically allowing ignorance and stupidity to flourish.

Pep's exit is pretty much inevitable. All I am saying at this point is that even if you may believe that Pep is not "all that", his career stats don't really justify throwing eggs at him as he walks out the door.

This happens all the time in the nfl, below average players getting way too much money, I'm not in any way saying he isn't a good player, he's a freak, but imo he's not worth the 10 - 12 million a year. GM's like freak's of nature, so in that regard we should be the first round we want in return.
