It almost seems like the are in a hurry to get this out of the way. As in, interviewing him first, in case they want to hire the next guy right after his interview.

hmmmmmm.

I'm waiting for the inevitable Grimm gets an interview story

and where's a gif of "Things that make you go hmmm" when you need it?

Please no. I would rather keep fox and look for a really good offensive coordinator. If he wants to come here and be the D coordinator then hell yes. Fox was not the problem it has always been our offensive coordinators imo. Please go for an offensive coach for once.

:banghead: Fox IS the problem at this point. You cant keep blaming it on the O-Coordinator. Escpecially when it has been Fox being the one who brought them in. First Henning was the problem, now Davidson. What makes anybody think Fox bringing in another one is gonna solve the problem.

Also, Rivera is another HUGE players' coach in the vein of John Fox. It could help the players accept another guy after Fox was here so long, but it might not be the best thing for the team's long-term success.

Just depends on how he handles it.

The way Florio makes it out it good because hes drawing more attention to the fact that this is a high profile great job. We will take our time and do a thorough search. We will come out with someone motivated to take this team somewhere. No matter who is hired it will be an interesting off season.

I'd rather have Harbaugh but I'd be OK with Rivera. If we get him though we really need to bring in a top OC.

I want someone who realizes how important balance is. Great D with crap O won't cut it, same the other way around. Fox would have been awesome if he didn't handcuff the O so much.

One intriguing part of a possible Rivera hire is could he bring some of the Offensive coaching staff with him form San Diego.

Win/win.
