armanti edwards!

what else do you expect from a rookie converting to WR from QB.. he IS a project.. you all sound surprised. Is that due to your lack of knowledge or due to the spot he was drafted?

if it's the draft pick, you have to put that aside when evaluating Edwards.. He didn't make the pick. He just showed up on draft day..

if it's your lack of football knowledge.. well, expect him to take 2 more additional years to grow into that position.. simple concept.

This is why he hasn't seen the field. All that crap about Fox not liking him was just that, crap. He isn't ready yet.

you hear a lot of bullshit on the forums.. if it sounds like speculation, you can take it to the bank that they are baseless..

some speculation is better than others.. the good speculation is when it's pointed out "I'm just speculating".. the bad speculation is pointing out "facts" that aren't true.. such as Armanti being in Fox's doghouse..

hey at least he dressed. that showed some type of progress. i'm slow to point fingers at young players (well other than goodson replacing d-will). one nice punt return that was called back, and one muffed punt...I wish they would have thrown him the ball. i want to see what he can do at wr. but yeah, give him a few more YEARS

a second round pick on a 3 year project?

The upside better be massive

you point is moot when talking about Edwards himself.. did you read my response?

and what I think you meant to say was a second and third round pick, the upside had better be massive.. (You left out the 3rd pick where he was actually picked)

regardless of where he was picked, it's who picked him that you should focus your attention on..

now if you want to talk about Hurney making that pick, go for it..

but even if he went in the 1st round, Armanti Edwards wasn't going to be an instant home run.. expect him to take 2-3 more years to be a be an impact player at the NFL level.. regardless of his draft position..

AE has been here all year and still has not learned to catch a freaking punt!

And they want him to play WR!

The only reason that I can see why the guy was even drafted was to have a player from ASU and the Southern Conference to sell jerseys. That's over, get rid of the experiment already.

The problem as I see it is this. A) Who could the Panther COULD have picked in the 3rd round if they didn't pick Edwards? B) Hard to judge Edwards when whe was active/eligible for what, 3 games? C) in 2-3 years if/when he becomes comfortable in his position, his contract will be up and he will probably sign with another team.

All teams, even the Colts and Patriots draft a "Project" player. The one that you hope will pan out and is a reach at the position in the draft. Edwards was magnified due to the poor performance of the entire team this season.
