I'm right there with ya. I didn't think JR would go this way, but cleaning house top to bottom does speak volumes that the next HC is not going to be some snot-nosed youngster getting his first gig. Canning the entire staff sounds like a big name is coming to town.

This is the weirdest thing ever that he's still going to coach on Sunday. I've never seen a situation where the owner has made it official that a coach won't be returning, but yet that coach still goes out and coaches another game.

True, but its not exactly a shocking announcement. Everyone knew he was gone, and this just made it official.

The staff announcement was mildly surprising, but I didn't really think we would keep any of them anyway.

We're pretty sure the search has been in progress for a good while now. Probably at least since we dropped to 1-8.

I will not be surprised if we don't have a new Head Coach before the 2nd round of the play-offs or earlier.

Despite this announcement, would it be impossible for some of the coaches to end up coming back? I'm pretty sure I've heard announcements like this before, and then head coaches keep some of the position guys etc, but I may be wrong

I understand that, but if the perception is we have already selected the next coach, or that the coach we have selected is a minority (like Rivera)...
