Who had the most accurate scouting report on Clausen?

Middle of the 2nd. It was the right pick no matter how he turns out.

He should have sat for at least a year, but didn't. I feel certain that if he were drafted by a team in better shape he would have shown more this year.

Manning would have struggled on this team.

Clausen had plenty of excuses early on, but the defense has been playing relatively well all season and the run game did appear later on. The protection has been consistently suspect, but I just don't see it. It seems like he's trying to play college football in the pros, and that's not going to work.

I really do hope he pans out, and I liked the pick due to the intent behind it (big QB prospect fell and we had a ? there). As the season wore on, more and more became obvious about what was and was not Clausen's fault.

I just want a QB to throw to these WRs we've got coming up :(

I got this off the Rams forum:

Saw this on Sportscenter. McShay vs. Kiper debating on where Clausen will get drafted. Kiper was praising Clausen, saying he is #4 on the big board and could go #1 overall.

"McShay tells Kiper that he would not pick Clausen in the 1st round. He was good in Weis' system, but he doesn't have the arm strength to make the throws downfield. He says that Clausen isn't a good teammate and that no one on the team is going to miss him when he goes to the NFL. He just doesn't have the intangibles to become a good NFL QB."
