Luck/Harbaugh @ Carolina: odds are 5/1 according to Bodog

What are the odds that Harbaugh goes to the NFL or Michigan? I would say strong. Now, having said that, what are the odds that the move impacts Luck's decision? SF moving quickly to hire a gm to hire Harbaugh is good news for the Panthers; we don't get Harbaugh, but the news that he is looking will come out before Jan 15, and that will change Luck's (supposed) decision to return to school.

I think all of the noise about Luck returning to Stanford were based on statements made when he thought he was going to be a mid-round pick and Harbaugh would be the coach at Stanford. These things have changed. With the rookie scale on the 2012 horizon, Luck has no choice but to come out now if he is concerned about millions and millions of dollars.

Therefore, I would say that Harbaugh is about 95% leaving Stanford

About 70% going NFL if and when he leaves

About 30% going Michigan

I would say that San Francisco is the frontrunner right now, followed by Carolina and then Denver if he goes NFL.

San Francisco 35%

Carolina 20%

Denver 15%

Rest of the league 30%

I guarantee that these percentages are 100% baseless conjecture and not based on any sound logic or rationale whatsoever.

My fear is that Harbaugh goes to 49ers and Luck comes out and pulls an eli and demands a trade to San Fran.

fug him then, we don't need him.

if he's going to only play for one guy, he can screw himself.

I don't want our franchise handheld like that. If he wants to be a franchise QB, Carolina is as good a place as any to stake his claim. If we get them both, good, but if Luck goes and pulls an Eli he can suck it. Not interested.
