A lot of what y'all are saying about Harbaugh has been said before about college coaches moving up to the NFL. Very few have been successful. I liked Harbaugh as a Bears QB. He was aight. He has been successful beyond expectations at Stanford. But he has not coached the NFL game. He hasn't even Coordinated an NFL game.

In order of importance, a lot would probably agree (some might not).

As far as chronology, my sense is that we'll get a resolution on Harbaugh first, one way or the other.

I'll be honest. If Luck won't play for anyone but Harbaugh, and won't come to play for the Panthers, f**k him. Seriously. If a trade is made without him pushing for one etc that is fine (fine being I dont hold it against him but I hate our FO). I understand the 49ers will probably give up literally an entire draft or two for him... but if he comes out and says he won't play for us and wants to go specifically to San Fran to be with Harbaugh, grah.

I don't think he'll do that. Nothing I've read makes me think he is like that.

If Harbaugh ends up with the 49ers, what are the chances he gets a trade with Carolina for the number one pick? I've been on the niners board, and they've been offering some pretty lame trade offers for a guy of Luck's potential. If the FO is stupid enough to trade Luck for anything less than a boat load of picks for the next two possibly three years and two established players (star and a good player), I don't know what I would do.

Trade 2010 1st rounds + Crabtree + 2011 1st round, and then draft Fairley.
