AJ Green is the best talent in the draft, Luck or not.

Lafell and Gettis are at best #2/3 options.

Green would make us awesome at WR, and would also help Smith get open. Lafell and Gettis will be very good.

By signing Green, you immediately take away the double teaming on 89. You also cover your rear in the event he does everything possible to get out. I think Smith will welcome a shift to the slot while Gettis and Lafell hold down #2. In other words, Smith, at 32, would have limited reps but they would be on passing downs.

I think Green is a better pick than DT even though DT is the bigger need. I would take Green for the reasons listed above and SS's age.

I don't like Marshall in the defense as we have been running it. I think he gives up way too many catches, and doesn't make enough plays. However, I think he would be very good in an aggressive defense that excels in takeaways. Put him on the Saints or Eagles and he becomes one of the league leaders in interceptions.

Not in the red zone and he has blown more then a few of them. I cant figure how is worse in coverage him or Godfrey. I mean at least Godfrey can pick the ball off.

Yep, we would have to trade for him. I believe he has one year on his contract left, but talking with Raiders fans some time ago, it seems he could opt out of the last year and become a free agent. If that is the case, we need to show Aso the money, and make the case we are a contender. If we have to trade for him, I would offer next year's first and Godfrey in a package deal. (Next year's 1st, this year's third, Charles Godfrey, and maybe one more pick)

He can play when given time. I am counting on us getting better. You don't really have many choices at QB in free agency. Not many QBs would prosper in Cincy. At least he stands in the pocket. But you are right, he has sucked. You aren't getting a QB in free agency that isn't damaged goods in some way. I think he can rebound in a different system.

I think marshall is spectacular at nickelback, I was happy when Martin was penciled in as #2, it's obvious they wanted Marshall back at nickel.

But now we have Captain who is pretty much the same.

So it's akward. I'd rather sign a bigger corner for the outside. Let Captain handle the nickle/punts like he's doing now.
