Do you trust hurney

How many great QB's are there in the NFL? Five? It's not like the man hasn't been trying.

Jakes contract extension and letting Pep go were both favorable decisions for our cap. I think the decision to cut Jake came very suddenly from the top and obviously wasn't made with his extension in mind.

Those 2 first round RB's have given us one of the best running games in the league so what the hell is bad about that?

If you're already passing judgment on Edwards you're ignorant. The Brown pick wasn't bad at all. We needed a pass rushing DE badly, so he got one. If you want to take the hindsight view and say that it was bad because Brown isn't a Pro Bowler, then that's also ignorant. And please don't forget that we also got Mike Goodson in that trade. Brown and Goodson for a first isn't bad.

First off....stop slurping.

Secondly, It is very much like the man has not been trying to bring in a top tier QB. I said it before and I will say it again, if your answer to a horrid QB situation is bringing in Matt Moore and David Carr....you should be fired on the spot.

Getting into a cap situation where you had to extend a QB that was rapidly declining to be able to sign your rookies means you can't manage the cap well. That is on Hurney.

Yup, we have one of the best running games in the league, and what is our record? That's like saying that you have the best secondary in the NFL, who gives a fug if you can't win games.

I can judge a draft pick from the moment the card is handed in, to the moment the player washes out of the league or retires, it's called being a fan.

As for the AE pick, it is certainly not too early to judge that pick. We were in a youth movement, and knew that we were going to be bad this year. At best that meant that we were using a 3rd and a mid to early 2nd on a player that was coming from D 2, and had to change position. It was and still is a horrible pick.

The Brown pick was not as bad, but still really really bad.

honestly i don't trust him anymore. Sure Edwards might be good... one day. why would you trade away a second rounder of next year's draft class for a third rounder the you know won't contribute for poo for at least 2 or 3 years?

It didn't make sense then, or now. he needs to stop trading away future picks. I'm all for trading down, but there's always going to be a next year's draft, let the other teams be stupid enough to gamble their future picks to you.

After the Armanti Edwards move I lost any trust in the man. And if I remember correctly he tried to trade this years first to move up and grab Jimmy Clausen, what deal that would have been.

you don't remember correctly and I'm tired of this BS rumor. There is no truth in it, it's pure speculation from fans because they think he'll trade anything.

There's actually an observer story where he said he didn't want to use a first to move up and that was the asking price, so he stayed put.

I don't trust Hurney's decision making. He has made some good first round picks, but his record past the first round isn't very good. I have a serious problem trading away picks in the future for hyped up guys out of college. The same teams seem to be doing that every year and those seem to be the inconsistent teams that continuously disappoint. Otah was a good first round pick, but i believe we overpaid. We overpaid for EB. We most definitely overpaid for AE.

The Pats fail on their draft picks at probably the same rate as everyone else. The diffence is they have double the picks because they don't trade away the future on hype. They trade picks for proven players. And that's really what we should be doing also.

College guys are like infomercials. Occasionally there's one that's actually useful, but for the most part, you're paying top dollar for something that will be on a discount shelf in 2 years.

What's up with NPH?

yup lol

the man has his flaws, but you can't deny his ability to draft in the first round

My 11 month old could draft just as good as he could in the first round. Figure out what you need the most, find the best player available. It's the later rounds that are tricky when people you had your eyes on are picked through and you have to do a balance act of what you really need the most with what you're given.

lol.

also, the Panthers have been pretty damn good with draft picks after the 2nd round in my opinion.

Great Story!

And no, I don't trust that @!#$ any further than I could throw him. When we picked up Clausen instead of getting a receiver this year, I screamed and raged. I backed down from that a bit, willing to give the kid a chance. Turns out, I was right to rage. He'll find some way of fuging up this draft.
