Dumb article but he is correct that JR tanked the season while at the same time leading the owner's charge against the players. Two things that hurt fans and Panthers fans in particular.

JR said he will fix it and i take him at his word. But Carolina fans should be angry or at least on notice.

I believe people are confusing their anger towards a writer that is expressing thoughts on why we shouldn't deserve getting a talent like Luck. THAT I can agree with because the writer's opinion on the matter is just sour grapes. BUT you cannot deny the facts regarding JR's handling of the organization this season. Seperate the two and you'll see where he's right.

I think JR did set this team up to tank the season, but it's really nothing new and in the history of sports teams have had coaches and players tank seasons as well.

As a Bobcats fan, I will never have respect for Tracy McGrady or Doc Rivers after they intentionally loss games in Orlando. If you're gonna do that, step aside.

Who cares what this douche thinks. I will side with Richardson and the owners every time in the labor dispute and IMO this was Richardson's way to put his foot down and make a point.

Why didn't this tool say anything about the Browns, Bills, and Lions when they refused to spend money in the past and ended up with the top picks? He obviously has an agenda and will be wrong in the eyes of the majority as Richardson is a well-respected owner in this league.

I guess I am in the minority here. I don’t understand all the outrage and whatever over his argument. Though I do not agree it seems he has valid and arguable reasons for his beliefs.

I know myself and a lot of others were very hard on JR from the lack of signings in FA and during the year for putting such a young team on the field because he was worrying about the CBA. All he’s saying (at least to me) is that JR did not try hard to have a successful season. If Luck declares he is a gem that we would be lucky to have. So being upset that an owner who did not give two shits about winning this season is rewarded with a stud like Luck is a valid argument and article… one that he has a right to write.

We have not done much this year for the media to respect us or our team, so don’t be surprised when you see articles or opinions like that.

Like I said I don’t agree with the article, but I don’t how what he said is so wrong or terrible. It’s not like he didn’t back up his statement with actions and how he perceives them.
