madden turned into crappy gameplay.

you're either winning every game by 30 or you're losing every game by 30, or, worst of all, winning the game, and then they come back like there's no stopping them. There's no in between.

Yuuup. I refuse to play online, because I hate idiots that never run the ball and go for it on every single 4th down. That is just lame and stupid. No thanks.

So I play against the All-Madden CPU and just do franchise, which is fun anyways. But yup... it is SO rare that it makes a good matchup to where the scoring isn't insane, both teams are acting how they should, and it ends in a good finish.

Every other time is exactly what you described. I am particularly pissed when its about 2 minutes left in the game and I have a 7 or 10 point lead and any effin pass I toss, the receiver just "magically" drops it, even though I had been passing completions to easy routes like that the WHOLE GAME. Thanks Madden 09, you basically cheat to get the ball back. That isn't fun. It's just stupid.

But yet... I'm still addicted to the damn game. I hate myself sometimes.

Oh, btw, can anyone actually defend the pass? I sure as hell can't. Sure, I can limit every single RB in the game to less than 40 yards rushing, but it seems like I can't even prevent loser QB's like Gus Ferrote, JaMarcus Russel, Kerry Collins etc to anything under 250 yards. Give me a freakin break. All my CB's are above 90 and yet they get torched play in and play out. Suuuuure....

While I'm on the rant, I can barely make any sacks. I get literally nanoseconds from a sack, but yet their QB miraculously tosses a laser, the WR hauls it in in double coverage and then runs for either a nice gain or a TD. UGH!!!

I usually play in Nickel show blitz and use blitzes on about 20 percent of the plays man w/o blitz for about 15% and zone/zone blitz the rest of the time. against the computer. You can stop the run with it and shut down every running back to under 30 yards. I held the Pats with brady to under 100 yards passing and 20 yards rushing. If you get hit with passes a lot just use Velcro from the Nickel formation and change one of the zone's to a blitz on every down you use it. (just change a different one.)

i dont mind the idiots going for it on 4th down, thats just stupidity on their part. if i can stop them on downs 1-3, i can stop on 4th too

what i really hate the most, is EA's servers. they are fuging crap. almost a third of my losses have come from disconnections, and then when I go to log back in it says i cannot access the servers at this time. absolutely rediculous, and in my mind the number one thing they need to work on

It does take skill to be good at the game but madden will purposely try to screw you over during the game. Way too much bullshit in madden. They gotta get rid of all the glitches and exploits and then they have to reduce all the bullshit make the game fair.

While it's not the best game ever, you guys are starting to sound like you just suck.

The computer never comes back to a point where I can't stop them and I'm never losing by 30. The only problem I encounter is that after 300 games or so (really) versus the computer on All-Pro and All-Madden, I haven't been able to get ONE punt, FG or extra-point block. Also, I've only ran back one punt or kickoff for a touchdown as well. Obviously, both of these are rare, but comon... there's no telling how many returns and blocks I've played.

I've used the Bengals for like 30 games and the Panthers for the rest. I love play-action with Smith on the right and making a sharp cut; burns my buddy almost every time and the AI whenever it bites (if not, I pass it to Williams or Stewart as they run towards the sideline).

But, I hope no one responds to this post in any hostile way, as this is simply my experience and opinion. Also, games occupy 50% of my time, literally. Yes, I have no life. I don't want to know how many hours I've put into all the games I've ever played... years worth probably.

Also, NFS: Undercover isn't all that, but I swear, the checkpoint races suck. I had to replay one for 2-3 hours just to dominate it.

my favorite part of madden is when you throw a deep pass to your receiver and the DB who, doesn't see the ball and is looking away from the ball towards you, jumps up in the air at the last second and either tips or intercepts the ball. oh its great fun.
