2011 Huddle Draft

Would it be considered unrealistic to move Andre Johnson, honestly the only guys on the Texans I think that are untouchable is Brian Cushing and Super Mario, maybe I'm missing a couple I'll have to review their roster again....

:yesnod:

Really, he's a beast for sure but he's also 30 years old now. He's also still at the top of his game, I guarantee if he was on the Patriots he would be trade bait. But alas, I wont move him if you guys insist....

Doesn't look like anyone is stepping up to run this thing. If nobody has any objections I wouldn't mind running it.

Though if I do I'd like to make a few changes. Namely, last year there was no real free agent market. Every URFA was instead a RFA so you had to trade picks for whoever you wanted.

Instead we can post the cap space for each team and then have an open market where you can bid on players. Player goes to the team that bids the highest, and each team has to stay within their cap space.

Of course only if people are OK with this idea. Thoughts?

I'll do it but last years was complete Bullpoo and annoying. Trade only draft picks and it would be more interesting...considering that is all they will have to work with if the CBA doesn't work out.

I think we can keep player trading around as long as we make sure to keep it reasonable. I was thinking some along the lines of this

Only 2 player trades per team. So people don't trade half their team and/or make a bunch of pointless trades (hey I'll trade my backup fullback for your backup fullback!).

No player for player trades or blockbuster trades, seeing as how these are very rare in the NFL to begin with. One player for draft picks only.

No trading "core" or star players unless there's a very good reason to. Just doesn't happen in the NFL.

And overall just be on top of vetoing questionable trades.
