Jordan Gross the lone Panther in the pro bowl

Charles Johnson not being named anywhere just goes to show that the Probowl is a popularity contest with the same household names getting in every year. I call bullshit.

3rd among all DE's in sacks. and I don't want to hear about the sacks stat, dude is on just about every play, and is almost always in the backfield.

CJ has had a good year but not quite up to the pro bowl level IMO. Close, maybe in another year. His stats are somewhat inflated because he's on the field all day, there's zero pressure normally from anyone else so opposing QBs get in the habit of sitting back there all day and we've played a relatively weak schedule.

Maybe he deserves a spot as an alternate but I can see Pep, Tuck and Abraham getting the nod over him.

Yeh I'm saying he's not the best player or playing at the highest level, the stats are just inflated due to the circumstances. Not sure any DE plays every snap in a season but he takes alot as he slides inside at times as well. Not a huge depth and rotation in Carolina vs say NYG.

I was very suprised to see Gross making the Pro bowl. I am happy for him but I don't think he has played as good as he has played in the past.

I was going to vote last night but voting was over. I feel I failed as a fan because I didn't get to vote for Charles Johnson.

We as fans all have the opportunity to vote and I feel that CJ was the only Panther that has played at a Pro Bowl level. Even if it is a popularity contest we as fans should of helped CJ make the Pro Bowl. He still could make the Pro Bowl as a sub.

I feel there were way too many Falcons and Bears. I think Rodgers should of made it over Ryan and Brees. Also I would like to see Vernon Davis or Cooley over Tony Gonz. Charles Johnson ranks 7th overall in sacks and has more tackles than Peppers,Tuck and Abraham. I also feel that Ovie Mughelli is one of those popularity picks of the lame Falcon fans.

And also for those who say hey the Falcons are the best team in the NFC and think that their players deserve to be on the Pro Bowl Roster because of their record please realize that the Falcons have played against the NFC west, AFC North and play the panthers twice.

NFC west=4 easy wins, AFC north =3 wins (only one against a winning team, Ravens) and one loss to the Steelers, 1 win against us, possibly two, One lucky win against the Saints who should of won, and two close wins against the Bucs.

The Bucs who also have an easy schedule and never beat a winning team this year.

The Falcons only beat 3 other winning teams none over 6 points.

The Falcons are just as overated as the Bucs and Matt Ryan will show it in the playoffs.

I'd give you that maybe Briggs got into the Pro Bowl when others were more deserving... but Peppers is most deserving. Urlacher certainly is- he's having a monster year. Hester being picked is obvious. "Way too many Bears?"

Peppers has had a good year and is no doubt Pro Bowl material but I believe there are many other DE's that are just as deserving. I know that Peppers does get double teamed a lot which takes away his stats but other Ends have put up better numbers than him. Normally Peppers ability to defend passes and get interceptions is usually the best of any DE's but Jared Allen, Osi Umenyiora, Chris Clemons, Trent Cole and James hall are DE's that have played at the level other pro bowl De's have and not made the roster.

Now don't get me wrong JP is one of the best De's in the NFC but you act as if no other DE deserves it more than him and by that statement I believe your letting the pride of your team get in the way of solid facts. that's why I would like for you to check out the stats yourself here and you can see there are many defensive ends that have put up about equal or better stats in multiple categories than Peppers.

Urlacher has indeed had a great season and is second arguably behind Willis who no MLB can match the season he has had. London Fletcher is the only MLB that can really match statistically the season that Brian Urlacher is having.

Briggs was one of those popularity contest winners. Greenway is having a great season and James Anderson has even had a better season than Briggs.

Hester deserves to be the kick returner and no player in NFL history can match his return skills.
