After Williams and Stewart were dancing on the sidelines I think the whole Arizona Defense went crazy and the whole team just took it up a notch..of course with hand-clapping, good-try, Boobie flapping, John Foxie dialed it down and started to go run and shoot.

My point wasn't so much 'worst team in the playoffs' as it was 'worst team to MAKE the playoffs', based on their performance throughout the regular season, and given that they were in the worst division in the NFL this year.

That said, it is undeniable that we absolutely were the worst team to PLAY in the playoffs, because we had no excuses. A home field where were undefeated, playing a team we beat earlier, by coming back from way down to do so, with a real chance at hosting the conference championship game (which did come to pass, EXCEPT we didn't win to make that happen)! The Giants may have played a bad game, but they were playing a division rival who always plays them tight. The Eagles did make a game out of it with the Cards, even taking the lead late, before having another bad defensive series allowing the Cards to come back. Most of the AFC games were at least competitive. We weren't! But I do maintain that it wasn't so much the Cards winning their games (at least against us and the Eagles) as it was about us and the Eagles LOSING them. And the Cards win against the Falcons was as much about the Falcons being bit by having a rookie QB who made a fair amount of rookie mistakes in that game, much like the Ravens had happen to them by playing a rookie QB.

It's astounding that everyone else in the entire NFL viewing nation could have pointed to the one player we needed to cover but our coaching staff wouldn't adjust for.

I said a while ago. Constantly throwing to Gamble is a BAD idea. Sooner or later he will get a pick. If we would have matched him against Larry and allowed him to be physical, it would have been a long night. First half might have been different. Gamble better than every corner on Eagles roster
