People need to get over that game. Besides, the Eagles couldn't stop Fitzgerald either, and they went into the game telling everybody that they were gonna double team him. And BTW, their corners are pretty darn good too, not to mention highly paid.

While personally Im not sold on either view, I think the issue every one has is we didnt even try to put our best corner on Fitz , till it was pretty far in despite the fact that it was obvious Lucas wasnt doing to well. The Eagles at least put out all the stops in a effort to stop him.

I thought they were doing well against the pass, and the run.

They were in the top 5 over all in Defense I thought... and our Corners were doing things right early in the season.

So, something changed, but I dunno if it was exactly. But it was there, and then we lost it. And it showed.

losing gracefully is for chumps and losers. there is nothing graceful or endearing about losing. it needs to make them bitter and they need to use all of next year to hit everyone in the face.

I don't think so. According to Gantt, Foxy was shocked when they didn't sign the extensions offered because he planned to have them back next year. Now, management might have taken a lukewarm stance on bringing them back which helped their decision to leave but I doubt it was Fox trying to push them away.

For the most part, seems the Cardinal fans behave better than the players do. That is very sad.

For crying out loud, how many teams have any of you seen that could overcome 6 turnovers in the play offs? I've been watching this game for 30+ years, and I can't remember a single instance when that has ever happened.

Agreed....defense played like crap in the first half, but they adjsuted and played better in the 2nd.

Jake's 6 TO's absolutely killed us.

We had 2 TO's in the Red Zone during the 2nd Half....if we punch those in, it is a ballgame in the 4th. Convert those two drives and it is a 33-27 ballgame. Not saying we would have won, but it would have been interesting.

the defense getting beat and giving up not just a ton of yards but a ton of points in a short period of time had been more the norm instead of the exception.

all the cards needed to do was watch to see how teams beat us in the second half (even in games we ended up winning the 2nd half we got our butts kicked) and apply that to the 1st half of the game.

jakes poor performance, as much as many people hate him and think he is horrible, was not characteristic. he choked in a big way. he had never performed that badly before, especially in a game that mattered that much.

jake choking on that magnitude was unforeseen (unless you are predisposed to hating him). the defense giving it up that much had been happening for a long time.

no way should teams ever be given an opportunity to gain on us like that.

no way should the panthers ever put their offense or defense on cruise or assume that a game is in the bag.

if fox doesn't make this team into a killer team next year i hope the next coach does.

no playoffs in 2009 means no fox in 2010.

If you're implying that I'm not blaming Delhomme, you're dead wrong...he was absolutely awful in the game. There is no other way to put it.

Make no mistake though, I'm still a Delhomme fan, but I'm also realistic. I hope he can come back from this, but I hope Fox has a good back up plan too.
