I'd rather trade down, get a stud DL or wr, and pick up a 2 and 3 pick and possible additional #1 next season.

I personally think AJ Green is more talented overall than Luck, but just like last year's situation (where Suh was and is the most talented player), the position dictates the pick.

Cam Newton may end up being the better player, but he's so very, very raw.

I'm now on the "draft any QB available" bandwagon, not only the draft luck one. I can't see how you think that DL is a bigger need for us than QB is. Our DL would have looked 10x better if they weren't on the field for 75% of the season. our biggest problem when we had jake was our QB situation. we didn't think it could get worse and it did, and our biggest need is still QB. Draft whatever QB you want, just make sure his name isn't jimmy clausen.

Panthers are stuck between a rock and a hard place. The most glaring need is obviously at QB. A lot of this will hinge upon who's the HC, but I can't see a scenario where the Panthers don't take Luck.

Way better DL options in free agency than QB options. Not to mention we could use a little vet leadership there.

I'd much rather see the DT spot addressed that way.
